I got a job working as a delivery driver 6 months ago.
I really enjoyed the job, because I made a lot of money with tips. I liked being able to work on my own. I went to the dispensary when my shift started and picked up the delivery orders. After I was done delivering all of my items, I went back to the dispensary for another round of orders. Most of my shift was the same and I really liked things that way. I really liked not dealing with customers and coworkers. I’m not a people person. Unfortunately, things have to change because my car is now in the shop for repairs. The repairs are going to take several days because the engine has to be removed in order to get to the problem. While my car is in the shop, I won’t be able to deliver any orders. My boss agreed to let me work inside of the building instead of as a driver. Yesterday was my first shift working inside of the store and I hated every part of it. I didn’t like sitting inside the store all day and I wanted some fresh air. I didn’t get to smoke cigarettes as frequently either, because the boss only lets the indoor people take a break every 2 hours. When I was working as a delivery driver, I had the opportunity to smoke anytime I wanted. During the next few days, I’m going to get a chance to remember exactly why I like being a delivery driver instead of a drone working inside of the store.
