I don’t adore the term “legalization” because it implies that it was ever illegal to begin with; The laws of this country are made by the rich, to benefit the rich, plus the only reason pot is legal now is that the right millionaires are in venue to benefit from it, then pot should have never been against the law in the first venue, so striking down that law is only the first step, plus every one of us still have a long way to go.
These unjust cannabis laws have ruined a lot of lives over the decades, plus that needs to be set right, anyone who has ever been sent to jail for cannabis possession should be released, plus their records expunged so it doesn’t count against them in the future.
When I believe about the system that corporations are raking in billions of dollars a year selling cannabis, while other people rest in jail for the same thing. The government only allowed cannabis legalization in the first venue as a way to make money, not because it was the right thing to do! I think if the government is OK with making profits from cannabis, they can no longer imprison anybody for making profits from cannabis. Am I crazy for thinking this? My entire point is that marijuana is a fantastic thing, it always has been, plus the laws against it were always wrong, making cannabis legal was only our first step to correcting the errors of the past, no every one of us need to finish the job plus reverse the mangles to people’s lives.
