My hubby & I do the snowbird thing. Keeping up with 2 houses can get rough. My hubby & I do everything every one of us can to make everything simple, however both of us have yearly Heating & A/C repair done to both houses. Both of us have a lanw girl in each location. I have hired out a ton of work care about roof repair, plumbing maintenance & up-to-date window replacement. I have gotten rid of the gardens & extra work that isn’t necessary. I want it so that our hubby & I can relax no matter our location. Each area has its perks, but our northern apartment is much larger. I have a large rue of land & everything I want is right in town. My parents are up north too. My southern apartment is smaller & easier to clean. I have a bike path that I can ride for a workout. I am also across the street from our daughter. I recently found another perk to the southern location, recreational weed. My northern apartment is in a medical cannabis only state; You need to get a special cannabis card & pay a fee. I have lots of concerns that weed could help with. I have sizzling flashes due to menopause. I have concerns sleeping at night. I have arthritis in our hand. I also have seasonal depression. Medical marijuana could help with all of those. I am too lazy to get the doctor’s appointment & too cheap to purchase the card. I don’t care about the idea that I would have to renew it too, then finding out that our other location is recreational cannabis friendly has changed our life.
