For sure, I really wanted to be active and into new things when I retired. And that’s exactly what I’m experiencing. I had no idea that I’d be finding out about cannabis at this part of my life. But that’s how it worked out for me. Unfortunately, my wife died about five years before we were able to make our retirement dreams come true. We wanted to move to somewhere warm and sunny and enjoy being active and outside. That’s all we really wanted after years of cold winters and overcast summers. It took me a while to recover from my wife’s death but I went ahead and moved on with our retirement plan. It wasn’t easy to move away and start a new life. But losing my wife was a slap in the face when it comes to how short life really is. That made it so much easier for me to walk into a cannabis dispensary when I first moved here. I had always wanted to try recreational marijuana. I knew friends who enjoyed it responsibly all their adult lives. So I didn’t believe any of the myths or misinformation that was rampant when I was younger. Now I was really interested in procuring some sativa strains or maybe a bit of indica product. It’s now legal where I live so I decided to give the cannabis dispensary a shot. I was amazed at how welcomed I was as though I was somebody’s Grandpa. I felt so comfortable and they took really good care of me when it came to my introduction to marijuana. I’m very thankful to count the people at the local cannabis spot as my new friends.
