I was good friends with the lady who lived in the apartment underneath mine. We both have a balcony and we used to talk to each other about the plants and our cats. Sometimes I would go to her apartment and the two of us would play dominoes or cards. We had a lot of fun talking about the good old days. We discussed all of the places in town that used to be something different. She had so much wealth and knowledge about our city. I thought I knew a lot about the place, but this lady is a historical encyclopedia. She worked in the government office for thirty years before retiring to live at the plaza. The lady had to go to the hospital a couple of months ago and then she went to live with her sister. The family came to clean out the apartment and a week later someone else moved into the place. I was hoping to have another nice neighbor like the older lady that lived in the apartment previously. Unfortunately, my new neighbor is a 20-year-old kid who works for a marijuana delivery service. The neighbor always smells like marijuana and he smokes weed out on the balcony. The smell of marijuana comes from the balcony and rises up to my apartment. I think the smell of marijuana is killing all of my plants. They used to be like a green and now they are drooping and brown. My boyfriend said it is the new food, but I am convinced that the neighbor smoking marijuana outside is poisoning my flowers.
