I have a problem with internet marketing for cannabis.
There are so many things we would like to do and say, but it isn’t always allowed.
The laws are so tight with what we can and cannot do as cannabis dispensary owners and managers. Internet marketing shouldn’t be so hard for cannabis. I understand that although most states have legal, medical marijuana, they don’t all have legal, recreational marijuana. Sometimes I want to pull my hair and scream at the top of my lungs, when I work on internet marketing. I always enjoyed doing internet marketing for family businesses, but they weren’t cannabis dispensaries. Cannabis creates an entirely unique set of rules and regulations that makes even the most hardened internet marketing agent want to shake their head. I understand the reasons for these laws and regulations, just like the rest of the internet marketing team, but it doesn’t make it easier. Before setting up an internet marketing plan, we need to know what state, county, and municipality they live in because some states allow counties and cities to create their own rules. We need to know if it’s a state that has both medical and recreational marijuana, because many just have medical. Not all states have medical marijuana and you can’t sell across state lines. If we, as internet marketing agents done check into the laws, we are just as guilty as the people who own the cannabis dispensary. Although people want us to do exactly what they want with their internet marketing, it isn’t always as easy as they think it is.
