I’m an idiot, I suppose. I definitely knew I was going to be drug tested for this modern task, & yet it never occurred to me that one of the “drugs” they were testing for was cannabis. When I hear about a drug test I think it is for dangerous, addictive drugs similar to cocaine or heroin. It would make sense to test people for the mood-enhancing drugs prescribed by their physicians. Smoking weed has become so normal in my life that I literally forgot it was still illegal at some sites. The HR department called me & explained that I had tested positive for cannabis, & I said “of course! So what?” It was explained to me that testing positive for cannabis use meant that they couldn’t hire me in the least, & then the reality sunk in. These products are merely for cannabis testing, they will not help you with other kinds of hard drugs. There are drinks you can take to help flush the THC from your system, & there is also fake urine on top of that! By using artificial urine you can actually fool any cannabis drug test, but alas, I walked straight past the display of these products at the cannabis shop & didn’t buy one. Now I have to go find an odd task. Wish me luck for the upcoming time!
