When the pandemic started, every supplier around the town began to offer some type of free delivery service.
All of the restaurants & bars offer free delivery & the state even allowed them to supply liquor in order for supplier sales to continue… None of the cannabis dispensaries in neighborhood provided any delivery services until the pandemic began.
When there were only various people allowed inside of the store at once, there was a line in the parking lot & nowhere to park the cars. That became a traffic hazard for the town & the best logical suggestion was to offer free contactless delivery. Services for delivery were certainly free as long as you spent at least $50. The delivery times were wrong in the beginning. None of the people at the cannabis shop had ever delivered before & it took some time to work out the kinks in the system, but free cannabis deliveries continued for almost nine months, but now I found out that they are going to start charging for delivery after the 1st of September, and deliveries will no longer be free of charge on the first of next month. Each delivery will carry a $5.99 fee no matter how substantial or small the order. I’m not genuinely excited about the up-to-date rule, because I work as a delivery driver. I am terribly sad that my shoppers aren’t going to tip as much now that the cannabis shop is going to charge them a $6 fee & the price of their order.
