I heard a strange sound coming from the engine of my car, but I didn’t know there was a huge problem. I heard the sound for several days and then I decided to talk to my dad about the noise. He told me to come over to the house and he looked at the issue. After a few minutes of troubleshooting, my dad told me that he would not be able to fix the problem. The car needed to go to a shop because there was a serious engine issue. I took my car to the dealership where I purchased the automobile. The car was still under a limited warranty. The dealership agreed to fix the problems, but I have to pay $500 towards the costs. The agreement is part of my extended warranty coverage. It’s going to take a couple of weeks to get the proper parts for the car and in the meantime I am working extra shifts at the dispensary. Most of the time I work 30 hours every week, but my boss has allowed me to pick up an extra 10 hours every week. I’m not allowed to get overtime, but I can work right up until the time that I have 40. The extra hours will help me pay the $500 fee for the repairs. I don’t mind picking up the extra shifts at the dispensary. I like working in the cannabis shop. It’s fun to be surrounded by recreational marijuana supplies. The atmosphere at work is very fun and easy going and all of my coworkers are friendly. When I have to go to work, it doesn’t feel like a chore.

 

Medical cannabis

When the first medical marijuana dispensary opened up out west, I had a very different take on it than many did in my home state. For me, medical marijuana was way overdue given the proven benefits for people suffering from a myriad of conditions. I knew the facts on medical marijuana and I also knew that this was just the beginning of a much bigger cannabis legalization push. Many in my home state were simply horrified that any kind of cannabis product was legal anywhere in our country. Year later, when medical marijuana was on the ballot for the first time, it was those folks who won out. Again, I knew the medical marijuana facts and I knew that wasn’t the last of our efforts to pass medical marijuana. It took two more election cycles for the vote to be really close on medical marijuana. Finally, it passed. I was thrilled for all those people who could now get a medical marijuana card and get access to a cannabis dispensary. The fact that these people had to sneak around and break the law to get medical marijuana was simply obscene to me. And I watched as the statewide attitude started to change once medical marijuana was such a clear success. It wasn’t long before recreational marijuana was on the ballot. It didn’t pass the first time out. But just like medical marijuana, it’s just a matter of time before anyone of age had access to a cannabis dispensary in our state. I firmly believe that the attitude toward cannabis and cannabis dispensaries has changed. People see the benefit of legalizing something that shouldn’t be illegal anyway.

It’s weird how you can be actually living a really nice life and not even realize it.

I think this is true for more people than want to admit it.

For me, I was sort of just doing the same old thing day in and day out. I wasn’t hating life but I sure didn’t feel much passion for it either. That changed the day that I walked into the marijuana business near me. That cannabis dispensary has been there for going on 3 years. And yet, I had still not visited this local cannabis spot. I’m not sure exactly why but I think it goes right along with living a routine so intensely that so many possibilities are simply blocked out. I can kind of understand where living with blinders on came from. In essence, that’s exactly what I was doing. Recreational marijuana was nothing new to me. I’d used marijuana products from time to time since I was in college. But it seemed to be when I was at a party or something like that. Maybe I’d have a bit of a pot brownie or share a hit of sativa products. I never made a point of using marijuana and I decided to change that. So in I went to the local cannabis spot. They hooked me up with some indica products as well as some hybrid strain for sale. I then took myself out to a beautiful reserve that is but a few miles from my house. It was completely an astounding experience for me. This was but the first step in discovering what a wonderful life this is and how much joy there can be in living it.

Ever since recreational marijuana was legalized in our state, I’ve seen a lot more of my old college buddies than I ever have.

I’m in my mid 40’s and live in a town that’s very near the border of our state.

Our town has several cannabis dispensaries that are open to anyone as long as their of age. My state started out with just medical marijuana but I think the windfall in tax revenue was just too much to pass up for the state government. So now, we are in about year 3 of having recreational marijuana and marijuana for sale to anyone of age. I’ve used recreational marijuana but not a whole lot since college. But when I got a message from a wonderful old friend who I thought I had lost track of, I actually encouraged her to come to my local cannabis spot. We met up the night before and had a lovely dinner. The next day, I had lots of cool stuff planned that was mellow and showed the natural beauty of this area. We started off with a good breakfast at my favorite spot. Then it was a trip to my local cannabis spot where my friend was able to find the hybrid strain for sale that she was looking for. I got us a few edibles for the day. The rest of the weekend was just bliss. We rekindled what was a great relationship 20 something years ago and I’m excited to see what happens going forward.

Much of my life has been spent in a near constant struggle with anxiety and depression. It’s been, by far, the most trying experience of my life. More than that, dealing with my condition has also subjugated and suppressed my ability to live a life with purpose, passion and confidence. Along with the cannabis products came a complete change in diet, exercise, rest and meditation. And it’s working. There is no other way to put it than that. From the very first, I was able to suddenly feel hopeful. From there, it was adding confidence and finding out that this life had so much beauty in it that I’m so totally worthy of.

I’ve been looking at the same boring faces at toil for the past various months, however my boss hired a current girl and she is entirely nice and polite, and i had an option to talk with her for a few hours on Monday, then the people I was with and I were both having lunch in the cut room at the same time.

I went upstairs to toil at the cannabis shop when I was finished a few hours later. Before I made my way into the showroom, the boss stopped myself and others and grabbed my arm. She asked myself and others to join her upstairs in the office of the cannabis shop. She told myself and others that she wanted myself and others to spend the rest of the day delivering orders. I wasn’t busy to supply that day and I wanted to toil inside of the shop, when I prodiagnosed the delivery, the boss told myself and others that the girl was feeling uncomfortable because I tried to pressure her for a PC number. I absolutely wasn’t trying to pressure the girl at all. I thought she was cute and I didn’t mean any harm. When I realized that I didn’t have any option except to deliver, I accepted my punishment for being a nice guy.

I’m a lucky person.

I’m lucky to finally see what hope, satisfaction in addition to happiness this life can present.

I’m lucky to assume better than I have in our entire life. And I’m lucky to live in a state that legalized medical marijuana. Without that last bit, I’m afraid I would still be stuck in cycle after cycle of anxiety in addition to depression. For the longest time, like decades, all I knew of life was that cycle. It’s as though anxiety leading to depression was our default when I was born. I genuinely can’t list too various times in our life that I easily experienced unadulterated happiness prior to treating with medical cannabis. And I have to supply big credit to both our dentist in addition to our therapist.
