Here is a fun little fact you may not know – although medical cannabis has been legalized in various states, the federal government still considers it a banned substance, that means the allegedly legal cannabis you buy is not 100% legal, just mostly legal.
This is why you can’t use a ATM card in a dispensary, you have to spend money, because the federal government won’t change its antiquated and unfair laws, and my buddy Bob is an armed security guard for a local cannabis dispensary, because they keep so much currency on hand it runs the risk of being robbed, Bob tells me that medical cannabis stores get robbed all the time, because of how much currency they keep on hand.
It makes no sense to me, because all of this currency made from legal medical cannabis is sitting, collecting dust, when it should be put back into the economy! One of the main reasons that medical cannabis use has been legalized in so many states is because of the economic windfall that comes with it. The taxes and fees levied on cannabis dispensaries provides tens of millions of dollars in restadium for the state. In other words, medical cannabis helps the community! And yet, the cannabis dispensaries still have to operate like criminal organizations and just sit on big piles of money. I know that the states have adapted to medical cannabis, well it is high time that the federal government does too! Even if you don’t like smoking medical cannabis yourself, you have to confess it is enjoyable for the economy.
