When my customer base hit a stagnant point a friend of mine recommended hiring a cannabis consultant.
Apparently this professional could take a look at my business and determine the weak points.
Sounds great! I hired the first cannabis consultant I could find that wasn’t too much money. The woman I worked with was terrible. She didn’t know anything about the cannabis industry. She definitely only knew interior design stuff and pushed me to organize the store differently. She got me new shelving units, painted the walls and replaced the lights. Yes, the store does look better, but that didn’t change anything financially for me. I wasted a bunch of money on her to give the store a facelift. My friend told me that I hired a non-reputable cannabis consultant. Not all of these professionals are equal. Some actually have experience in the industry while others just claim to. He got me in touch with a real cannabis dispensary consulting team that could help. They were significantly more money but totally worth it. I had a whole team of guys that came into the store and took a look around. One guy looked at my books, another at my website and the other analyzed my workers. They helped me set up curbside pick up and cannabis delivery to broaden my services. They also got me an updated website that ranks higher on google. They then showed me the tangible evidence that I was getting more customers from their services. They were worth spending more.
