When marijuana was legalized for recreational and medical use, the laws stated each person could grow a certain number of plants on their property.
I thought it might be fun to try to grow a marijuana plant.
The first opportunity I had to buy a seedling at the shop, I purchased a clone called wedding cake. This Indica dominant strain is one of the best indicas that the store offers. I spent $25 on the 6 week old seedling. It was almost 9 in tall when I brought it home. I set it up in a room with ambient temperatures and lots of natural sunlight. I cared for the plant for two months and the harvest yielded quite a bit of product. The next time I decided to grow a plant, I chose two. After a couple of years, I realized that I had a knack for growing marijuana. I applied for a permit from the state to grow marijuana. When I applied for a permit, I did not know it was going to take multiple years. I assumed the process would be very quick. Unfortunately, I had to jump through hoops to become certified to grow marijuana and the legal fees and cost were way too high. Eventually I gave up and decided to stick with the things I know best. It’s sad to know there are a lot of people out there that would be able to grow their own marijuana if only the government would allow the process. Of course, they want to make sure that they can get their hands on some of the profits.
