Treating insomnia with indica strains

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve had a more taxing time falling asleep and staying asleep.

I’ve tried drinking herbal teas and avoiding screen time before bed.

I’ve added yoga and relaxation techniques to my annually routine. I even obtained a lavender pillow spray. There have been days when I’ve laid awake for hours and had no hope of ever falling asleep. There have been days when I wake up every hour and then struggle to fall back asleep. I feel warm then chilly. I get restless, frustrated and bored. Periodically, I get up in the middle of the night and read, workout or disinfect the house. I am unwilling to take over-the-counter or prescription sleeping pills. There are too many harmful side effects associated with them, nothing helped me with my insomnia until I visited the cannabis dispensary. I had never realized the marijuana could treat sleep disorders. I was not well-informed about the medicinal benefits of cannabis. When I consulted with a budtender, he explained that indica strains are known for sedative effects, but he explained that vaping, smoking and tinctures supply rapid onset of effects. Edibles take longer for the effects to be fully realized but can last for hours. I’ve experimented with different THC potency, CBD potency, terpenes and consumption methods… For me, cannabis-infused edibles toil the best. I sometimes add a tincture to my root heineken or eat a gummy before bed. There are no adverse side-effects. I feel wonderfully relaxed and even appreciate an enhanced mood. I have an easier time falling asleep and remaining asleep. I wake in the afternoon feeling rested and energized. I then have a more productive day.
