Ever since college, I have been on a quest to try as many cannabis strains that I can get my hands on.
During my first year of college, I was dead set on finding White Widow and was amazed when it reached my hands at last.
I got it from a friend who was able to score an ounce of East Coast Sour Diesel a few weeks later. I felt like I was in literal weed heaven at the time, and we weren’t even dealing with a legal marijuana market where I could go buy medical marijuana at a legal dispensary in my state. But some of the illicit black market growers were producing crops that rivaled some of the best stuff found in legal states. My state especially seems like it’s full of home growers who are serious about producing the best marijuana imaginable without breaking the bank. Of all the famed cannabis strains on the market, OG Kush is perhaps one of the most ubiquitous examples. It’s in strains like Girl Scout Cookies and Headband, and oddly enough it originated in my home state about 40 years ago. I’m proud of my state’s cannabis history, going back decades before legal medical cannabis was even an idaea in anybody’s mind, let alone out in the pacific states along the western seaboard. OG Kush is a phenomenal hybrid strain that offers both calming and stimulating effects for the mind. It’s easy to see why it became so incredibly popular. It’s a consistently high yielding strain as well, and can be used in both daytime and night time settings.
