My family and I own a marijuana farm and it is absolutely necessary to know and understand how to grow a successful crop.
We used to have a steady supply of water. Water is one of the things that you need to have a successful crop. It doesn’t matter if you’re growing corn, beans, lettuce, or marijuana. Water, food, the sun, and nutrients are all necessary for a successful and abundant crop. Our indica crops are the best on the farm. Most of the indica strains have a low flowering time and a high yield. Our crops were yielding huge amounts before we started having drought conditions. Suddenly I had to water the crops less frequently and that definitely affected the plants and the quality of our crop. We used to yield two or three pounds per plant, but during the drought season we were only yielding one to two pounds per plan. Even the best growing strains like OG kush, Blue Dream, and Jack Herer were yielding low numbers. That is a huge reduction in production and that affects our budget. I am feeling very thankful that we had a lot of rain this winter. We won’t have to worry about our water allotments. We have plenty of water in the reservoir and that means we can water the marijuana plants as frequently as necessary. We don’t have to worry about rationing the small amount of water that the county water board allows.
