Medical marijuana has changed everything for me when it comes to a near lifelong battle with IBS.
And here I thought medical marijuana was just for cancer patients.
But then again, I could have put two and two together on why cancer patients use medical marijuana. While there are several medical marijuana benefits for someone struggling with cancer, the entire point is dealing with nausea from chemo. While my IBS is a bit more complicated than just nausea, it’s still a condition that has to do with the digestive process. That is something I actually should have picked up on. Regardless, I’m just thrilled that I figured out how to get a medical marijuana card in order to finally get a more consistent IBS treatment. The meds I’ve been using are hit and miss. When they do work, the efficacy of the medicine wanes fairly quickly. Then, the discouraging cycle begins all over again. This is not the case now that I’m getting the cannabis products from the legal weed store. From the onset of treating medical marijuana, I’ve felt far more relief than with any of the other meds. It’s as though my body was waiting for medical cannabis all along. I’m so ecstatic to easily have a serious tool in our efforts to manage our IBS and get on with my life. There has been so much I’ve missed out on that I’m excited about getting back in my life. This is all thanks to medical cannabis. I’m just so thankful that our state had the good sense to make cannabis dispensaries legal for people like me.
