It’s hard to find parking at work, because I work in the city.
There is a small parking lot for employees, but it fills up fast, especially on the weekends when there is a full crew.
There are only spots for twelve cars, but between the manager and the dispensary employees, those spots fill up fast, and last weekend I decided to park in the space in front of the marijuana dispensary, amd it was open because there is no parking in that space after 9. I planned to move my car at 9, so I wouldn’t get a ticket. Unfortunately for me, I lost track of time and didn’t run outside to move my vehicle until it was exactly 9. There was a meter maid standing next to my car, she was writing me a traffic ticket. I told the lady that I worked at the marijuana dispensary. She didn’t seem to care at all. I told her that I was moving my car to a different spot now. I got stuck at work. It was only a single minute past 9. The meter maid didn’t care at all about my excuses. She wrote me a $75 ticket for being parked in the space illegally. I moved my vehicle down the street. I had to drive more than three blocks and walk back and I still got a ticket for being parked illegally. I should have certainly just kept my vehicle and that space since I already had a ticket on the window. It’s so aggravating to work in the city and drive a car. I genuinely need to start taking the metro instead.
