Cannabis legalization is only the first step

I don’t prefer the term “legalization” because it implies that it was ever illegal to begin with; The laws of this country are made by the rich, to benefit the rich, and the only reason pot is legal now is that the right millionaires are in place to benefit from it, then pot should have never been against the law in the first place, so striking down that law is only the first step, and we still have a long way to go.

These unjust cannabis laws have ruined a lot of lives over the decades, and that needs to be set right! Anyone who has ever been sent to jail for cannabis possession should be released, and their records expunged so it doesn’t count against them in the future, when I think about the system that corporations are raking in billions of dollars a year selling cannabis, while other people rest in jail for the same thing.

The government only allowed cannabis legalization in the first place as a way to make currency, not because it was the right thing to do! I guess if the government is OK with making profits from cannabis, they can no longer imprison anybody for making profits from cannabis. Am I silly for thinking this? My entire point is that marijuana is a good thing, it regularly has been, and the laws against it were regularly wrong, but making cannabis legal was only our first step to correcting the errors of the past, no we need to finish the job and reverse the disfigures to people’s lives.
